Dance Videos Featuring Music By David Karagianis

Here's a selection of excerpts from concert dance (modern and ballet), as well as dance for the camera videos, that feature my music. In some instances, I composed the music for the choreography on display while in other cases music I had already composed has been set to the new choreography or video work shown.  As one who has been composing music for dance since 1976, I was a bit dismayed when I recently launched this project at how little usable video exists to show for all the work I've done in this arena.  While many concert dance works were never even filmed most of the videos I was able to dig up, including everything prior to 2008, were either VHS tapes which were too grainy and/or documentation videos shot from so far back in the theater that the dancers look like tiny ants.  Fortunately, I have managed to rustle up these professionally shot, and beautifully, performed videos that, thanks to the courtesy of the choreographers or video editor, I've been granted permission to show these clips.
